Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is offered to postgraduates with their LPCC pursuing their license as Professional Counselors. Supervision is an interactive process intended to monitor the quality of client care, improve clinical skills and counselor self-efficacy, and facilitate professional growth.

Basic Supervision Perspective:

  • Supervision is a dynamic process between supervisor and supervisee.

  • Utilization of the Discrimination Model of Supervision.

  • The counselor/supervisee is the best instrument for a client's change process

  • Heavy focus on the Person of the Therapist (see Aponte & Kissil, 2014) and supervise through this framework.

  • Professional growth is an ongoing process.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
— Harriet Tubman
